Jenna Fischer's most famous character is Pam Beesly in the highly popular television series The Office. She received the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in the comedy's ensemble.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother Anne, in church productions. This instilled in her an interest in theater.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has gained immense popularity, settling within the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books: The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide, in which she details her journey from St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two of the Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) The book is an account of their most memorable friendship and time working for The Office.
