Along with playing volleyball, she also competed at an official level. She was enrolled at the University of Texas, Texas in the academic year. During the senior years of her career, she won each tournament that she participated in. While in her university career, she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
