Richard B. Cheney has been a public servant for many years and also is a successful businessman. He currently serves as Vice President of the United States. Cheney is a recognizable name in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the fourth president to which he was a part of. Bush decided to choose Cheney as his running mate as the vice-presidential race in July 2000. He cited Cheney's experience and insight. Dick Cheney, who served as the United States as secretary and chief of staff in the administration of a president, and also during Congress is a tremendous servant to our nation. He's a man of integrity whom is admired by Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney claims he's a discreet but honest adviser for Bush within his administration. Cheney accepted his appointment as Republican vice president that he hopes to work with a presidential candidate who can work cross-partisan and to collaborate in a manner of respect and in a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he relocated together with family members to Casper located in western state of Wyoming, where his father directed the district for soil conservation in Casper to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
